Nazare Zip-up Hoodie and Auvers Top

Itch to Stitch Nazare Zip-up Hoodie is 2023's first pattern and of course I had to test it as I enjoy wearing cotton french terry and this is a sleek and fitted style I loved at university. You can sew a plaint colour version or contrast as I did. I was considering making another hoodie with dark grey and light grey accents as I loved this one so much! This is the only garment I've made so far this year, and it was a fun pattern to start with! I used grey shoelace for the twill tape, a navy and brass zip, and navy cotton bias binding to finish the hood centre seam and hood raw edge. I did buy a serger at the start of lockdown and I think it is faulty, the needle won't move! The John Louden organic cotton french terry is dyed both sides so there is no white side showing. Alternatively, you could cut two of the hood and sew it together without the white loopback side showing if your fabric is screen printed. You can also sew it without the front pockets if you prefer, I quite like them for the colour blocking but don't use pockets so I might leave them off my next version. The pattern is available in Regular or Full Bust and sizes 00 to 40. The bottom band has been changed since testing to be 1 inch shorter. Worn with Quebec Skirt and Auvers Top in cotton voile.

Photos April - I pressed the zip flat as I noticed the zip bowing, the pockets are placed on the flat and there is no curve of the zip.
