I used some of the layer cake squares from a Jo Morton Moda layer cake to make Mr C's birthday quilt, I still had the rest to make something vintage. The cotton was prewashed with a minimum width of 9 inch so I cut 3 inch strips, created 15 dark-light-dark and 15 light-dark-light, I also had to add 3 squares from yardage and another layer cake to make up the light. Then I cut the assembled strips into 3 inch. I added a 4.5 inch border in red check Art Gallery Fabric, then another border in red floral elements Art Gallery Fabric. Binding is a red leaf remnant Timeless Treasures. Batting is two layers of prewashed cotton flannel. Backing Benartex sunflowers. Approximately 50 by 58 inch.
