Rail Fence Quilt

The lighting was low today, but Mr W (modelling) took me to the lake. Will try to photo again as the colours look muddy rather than gentle. I designed this pattern myself using rail fence technique, 2nd hand yardage and Moda scrap bags! The only stash fabric is the leaf print side borders as I used all the vine print. I didn't have enough of the vine print, so added corner blocks leftover from piecing! It's approx 53 x 65 inch.

Binding is Art Gallery Fabric and the backing is beige diamond print. 1/2 metre vines, 1/2 metre pale olive vine, 1/4 metre inner border diamonds Edyta Sitar Andover purchased 2nd hand. Moda scrap bags are slow stroll and storybook Fancy That Design House. Side borders Windham fabric. All the white jelly roll strips leftover from other projects. Cream Aurifil thread serpentine stitched seams.

Nine Patch Baby/Dog

My own pattern! It came together using the teal, green, peach and yellow strips from a jellyroll, when I was ironing the strips, I sorted out the tropical colours. I managed to get it to a baby/pet quilt by adding a.border and extra white fabric. It is approx 43.5 inches by 49.5 inches.

Yellow tile border, white with rainbow polka dot cut into strips, label, backing: Art Gallery Fabric poplin. The daisy print I purchased 2ndhand new.

Moda jellyroll Love Lily purchased on sale, binding is the peach Moda print from the same range also on sale. I cut 2.5 inch double fold binding, I usually cut 2.25 inch but I thought wider would look cute

Wadding: Soft & Bright polyester. Quilting: serpentine stitch in Superior Thread in cream, I use Gutermann thread for my labels.
Wadding: Soft&Bright

I had to cut 6 strips from white print yardage.  I cut the strips in half and strip piece into 3, for a nine patch colour coordinated checkerboard.

Irish Christmas Quilt

Teal foliage squares/binding, beige background, backing: Benartex. Turquoise diamonds: Moda Robin Pickens made me think of falling water drops, I sewed 24 HSTs one orientation, then the other 24 turned, to keep the directional print. Outer border Robin Pickens. Inner border Art Gallery Fabric floral elements, Mr W thought this might be too grey but it is mint green to me. Batting: Sew Simple 80/20 individual pack. Quilting: cream cotton Aurifil thread, back thread is Superior Thread.

Pattern Irish Christmas from Fabriccafe, I received the Quick Christmas book from Mr W for my birthday. I like using 4 or 5 fabrics more than 3 and I use a double fold binding. Name blurred on label.
