Hepburn Turtleneck PDF Sewing Pattern - After going to France, I desired a breton top or turtleneck, it's a subtle look that looks amazing on anyone under a blazer, jacket or solid-colour thirt. I liked my other Itch to Stitch poloneck so much I chose that pattern, bought & laundered the jersey, and constructed in the same day. Size 4 graded to 6 hip in grey-navy lightweight jersey. Hem and arm hem finished with a zigzag stitch. I like the idea of a 70's style stripe poloneck too, they're so comfortable. I managed to cut both the turtleneck and the new Arenal Top PDF Sewing Pattern from 2 metres of fabric, so essentially it was just £4 for a new layering top! I re-fold the fabric for every pattern piece rather than using a layout.I liked the port and it was interesting to take an afternoon trip whilst on holiday.

Nice airport is just 4 km to the beach so we just walked from Terminal 2 to Promenade des Anglais. The website booking suggested hiring a transfer to the hotel in the double digits but I know not to book those after Toulouse! There is a bus that leaves Nice airport to the beach every 20 minutes for 6 euros but the walk from the airport is flat and safe as it is designated for cyclists and pedestrians.
I was going to bring a blouse I bought from Rock n Romance but didn't fancy trying on any new clothes so decided on the Seamstress of Bloomsbury birds brooch that came with the package as a free gift! The red suited a nautical look and the birds of flight was quite appropriate! It stayed on my jacket button-loop the whole time. This pin is surprisingly lovely for acrylic, they have a glossed heavy clay feel to them. Handmade Poloneck Top
The first glance of the sea was a deep and bright royal blue, it was bedazzling!'The French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France.' 'he name Côte d'Azur was given to the coast by the writer Stéphen Liégeard in his book, La Côte d’azur, published in December 1887. Liégeard was born in the French department of Côte-d'Or, and adapted that name by substituting the azure blue color of the Mediterranean for the gold of Côte-d'Or'

Photos from Nice!
Itch to Stitch Hepburn poloneck sewing pattern, I sewed a size 4 graded to an 6 hip. I also cut the the body slightly longer. The beautiful floral border print is from The Textiles Centre, it is a lovely spray of lilac and pink flowers and it is multi stretch so I was able to use the border print vertically down the arms. I chose the bright floral border for the front of the arms to bring out the colour in the hip. I think the smooth poly jersey will be more robust than the last viscose jersey I used, that top bobbled so I had to throw it out. I pre washed the fabric on 30 degree C sportswear setting and left to hang-dry.
With olive trousers.

Refashioned earrings - removed the large blue pendants and added links from a bracelet.
For the necklace I used the large blue earring drop pendant. I added links from a bracelet, jump rings from belcher chain, belcher chain, green drops from a different necklace, and a silver heart pendant to finish off the clasp extension.
3 unloved pieces now easy to wear (lighter on the ears) and I feel the design is more romantic and better suited to me and also my favourite colour combination - blue of the sea and green of landscapes. I also prefer silver chain - a combination of these metals is fine. Bracelet made from a necklace (also amrita singh outlet). I fasten it before the O loop as I have small wrists.
