Boomerang Quilt

Boomerang Quilt - individual pattern from Fabric Cafe. Cross Windham, I wanted a country western look with the wood boomerangs. Woodgrain Maywood and Benartex. Ornate flower yellow on white Art Gallery Fabric.

Backing Art Gallery Fabric. I also made a churn dash quilt from the hypernature fabric collection, this one is for myself. Batting: 60/40 cotton Quilting: straight line, cream #gutermann thread front and back 

I love how my labels are looking! I use a 3.5 inch folded square of woodgrain print.

Minerva Rhapsody Quilt

I used the Byzantium print cotton linen gifted by Minerva Exclusive for review, to make a quilt for Mr W's friend. It is 45% cotton 55% linen.

I paired it with Benartex puppytooth print in red, and a black on grey Windham print. The alternating blocks are from the Moda layer Cake 'Lancaster', I chose the linear prints, to let the Byzantium print shine. It also gives the feeling of brickwork or building tiles.

The pattern is Rhapsody from Fabric Cafe Fat Quarter Quilting Treats, but because I used prewashed fabric, I had to cut the width of the blocks 1/2 inch less, I then added 1 inch to the third border. It measures approximately 46 by 66 inches.

I'm adding labels now! Also hand tying the thread stops by pulling it through with a needle. Straight line quilted this is dark grey Glide thread for both sides.

Butterfly Quilt

United from Make it Patriotic. Stephen helped me choose the pattern, then I used a layer cake which I purchased 2nd hand, I gathered the light colours for the panels. This was quite fiddly, press your seams open instead of to the side if making it. I used a butterfly print white on white and navy Art Gallery elements fabric. I layered it with cotton flannel (prewashed) for batting and free motion quilted it in light grey Aurifil thread. The backing is Benartex fabric in swirl on white. Winchester photos.
