Friendship Braid Table Runners

Free pattern on Jordan Fabrics Friendship Braid Table Runner-free-patternThe jelly roll I purchased 2nd hand new, I didn't like the ladybird prints , but I loved the colours and the blenders. so I used 12 of the blenders to make these two runners. I used Camelot Fabrics for the borders, inner squares and binding. One is for my friend *and one I gifted for charity

Christmas Tree Skirt

Jordan Fabrics Tree Skirt (free pattern). I've wanted to make this for a year and finally got round to it! I ordered this vintage coca-cola style Blank Quilting cotton in a January sale and thought Mr W would like it, the large print was perfect for the 10 inch squares in the tree skirt. Finished size approximately 62 inches. I sewed it stitch and flip as suggested, then topstitched the edges and some of the seams, it doesn't need a lot of quilting. Fabrics: Liberty floral, Art gallery fabric birds, Riley Blake santa, blank quilting vintage Christmas,  Nikha Bella? floral. The two cream diamonds blend so I probably should have used more of a contrast, but I wanted to use both fabrics. Secured with mini safety pins. I think it looks neater than sewing on ribbons.

Poodle Barn Star

This time I made a Barn Star Quilt 1 - Coriander Quilts for my relative's cockerpoodle, black poodles were the closest match! Timeless Treasures cotton in poodles and I love my dog for the star, and the backing (different dogs including spaniels and poodles) purchased for him. Then I used Camelot cotton in a turquoise blue I had already, and Camelot for the chevron binding. Chevron print was very popular 10 yes ago, it reminded me of a shirt I sed to have! I like it better than plain stripe and I'm not a gingham fan.
After taking the photos I realised I forgot to redo a line of stitching so that is done now. Patchwork:
