Eastbourne - Beachy Head & Vienna Top

Itch to Stitch Vienna Top and a Ralph Lauren jacket from 2003! Tatty Devine necklace I had to sell as I only wore it twice.
Viscose jersey £8.99 Minerva Crafts I only purchased a metre. I love the smooth feel of viscose jersey and the prints are nice and bright.  Cream coloured broderie anglaise from 2015 when I made a dress (unworn), the skirt was panelled so there wasn't enough for a button down blouse. I was able to cut the yoke on a centre seam, the ruffle and ribbons from it - and enough for another. I cut a size 4 which is a uk 10. The sewing is a labour of love for a vest, a whole morning, but it produces a gorgeous vest which is also fancy - and it works well for layering. Vienna Tank PDF Sewing Pattern
 Eastbourne Seafront:-
Eastbourne is a pretty beach and historic hiking location. We stayed at Ellesmere Hotel, which kindly doesn't charge for your companion dog, clean and great value - recommended! It was £44 for a twin room, which I split with my friend. I took two days off work and we spent the time outdoors walking in the fresh air, we didn't go to any pubs or restaurants and instead chose picnics on the hills. Walk up South Downs National Park - there is a large hill from which you can catch a view of the town. Carry onto Beachy Head.  Ariel view:-
It's best to visit in sunshine because the chalk lights up a fresh white.
We walked to Belle Tout lighthouse (not pictured) and onto Birling Gap. The step climbing and hills were great exercise with amazing views! I think we walked the equivalent of a half marathon on each day.
Chalk rest break. The steps down to here are closed in October so we were happy to visit in time.
